  • You cross wood (4.5 km).
  • At Poligny in the stop you turn left and first right. You pass the cottages that are in the village.
  • You go up the street on 500 metres to heights which dominate the village, we are outside the village...

    A beautifulplace to stay some weeks in the summer. In the surrandings there is musées to see and visit. The cottage is a nice place to rest and prepare for the next day. During the not days it stened cool and confortable.

    We really enjoyed our stay in your cottage. We liked the big and fencen off garden, which was very pleasant for the children and our dog. Also the amount of garden furniture was good. W sleep very well thanks to the nice beds. We had a good holiday and thank you for your hospitality.

    We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful gite! Only negative thing were the knives in the kitchen which were quite dull. Maybe a knife-sharpener would be a good addition to the kitchen-equipment? Thank you very much, we will be in contact when we are planning our next trip to Fontainebleau!

    The gite is very nice and quiet. The garden space is big. We enjoyed siting outside in the sun when it wass cooler and in the shadow when it was warm. Mr and Mrs Amiel are very friendly. Whe enjoyed staying here.

    Wa had a really nice visit and liked staying at your Gite this summer (for the second) time). Getting there is easy and the location to access Southern Fontainebleu bouldering is great. We also particulary liked the location and how quiet it is at night. Recovering and reading at the Gite after a day of climbing was completely relaxing. Thanks again for everything.

    We had a very pleasant week-long stay at the 7 person Gîte of "Haras de la Fontaine".
    Both during the booking process and our time here, the landlords have been very nice and helpful.
    Also, communicating in English is no problem.
    The apartment was well-equiped and contained all items and features listed on the website. It might not be top modern in style and decoration, but it is very clean, spacious, and homely.
    If ever we come back to the area of Nemours for another bouldering holiday, we will definitely consider staying here again.

    We enjoyed your cottage very much. The kitchen was very nice and there is a lot or room in the cottage. The bath nice as well. The lock comming into the cottage was difficult to open.

    We've enjoyed our stay in serene Poligny. Good service for changing the coffee machine immediately ! Very pleasant as the owners are always available and easy accessible. Nice route for running and cycling at the back of your place. Beautiful environment here.

Our son, Rowan, has loved running around the court yard and playing with the balls. He has also learnt to say "big dog" since being here. We have found our stay very comfortable.     My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Haras de la Fontaine. The beauty and peace of the surrounding fields and forest was the perfect beginning to our vacation. Gilbert and Catherine's property has the charm of an ancient fortified farm, with all of the modern conveniences and comforts of home. With the excellent location, we were easily able to make day trips to Versailles, Fontainebleau, Paris and surrounding villages - though our gite and the Haras was so comfortable that we could have stayed put and saved the day trips for another time.

    We spent a beautiful time in your gite, especially the children enjoyed being out in the yard and playing in the garden. Lighting a fire in the evening and sitting in front of a nice warm fire with a glass of wine in such a wonderful atmosphere, that will be how we will remember our time here.     We really enjoyed our stay in the Gite, and will stay there again if we ever make it back to France. We really appreciated having a kitchen to use, and we loved how clean and spacious the three person Gite was. We were also very appreciative of the washing machine in the Gite, which we did not expect to have at all during our trip. The only negative point that comes to mind is the low ceilings in some areas of the Gite. My partner and I can be rather clumsy and we hit our heads a couple times. However, that is probably more our fault for not paying attention to our surroundings. We had a very wonderful time in Poligny, thank you so much for renting to us!

    We had a lovely stay at the haras gite all 3 gites where perfect, great value for money, beautiful surroundings.
    Sadly after we left our car was broken into with all our belongings had to wait in Paris till Monday for an emergency passport, not the best end to a good holiday
